CONFERENCE
AGENDA
Saturday
- October 9, 1999 - Extracurricular
Early
Arrivals and Check-in at Marriott Marina Beach Hotel
- Golf:
Contact Mr. Brian Cohen, director of "Rather Be Golfing.
Telephone number 310.458.6898; Fax 310.393.6813. Brian
can arrange play for 72 - 144 people all teeing off at
the same time. An 18 hole game usually takes 5 hours and
Brian would arrange pick up at our conference hotel at
around 10:30 AM Minimum 4 people for $165.00 each; 10
people and up at $125.00 per person. They represent 16
public, semi-private and private golf courses in the LA
area. "Rather Be Golfing" is the organization
used by the hotel for guests. The golf courses in the
Los Angeles area tend to get busy on the weekends so I
would recommend making arrangements early. Also, while
there are many courses, many are private or would require
commute time longer than 45 minutes, so Brian's plan sounds
like the best option.
- Tennis:
The closet tennis to our conference hotel is "Marina
Tennis" telephone 310.822.BALL. They have 3 courts
and charge $15 per hour, per court at night and $12 per
hour, per court during the day. The facility is approximately
a half-mile walk from the Marriott. Our contact at the
facility is Robert.
