Local Transportation

See the “Getting Here” section of this web site for information on airport transportation. The easiest, cheapest way to get around downtown Chicago is by public transportation, taxi, or walking. If you want to rent a car, all of the major companies have facilities at both airports (Midway and O’Hare). Parking in downtown Chicago is expensive; information on options at and around the hotel is provided under “Getting Here.”

Recommended Attire

Business casual is recommended for daily conference sessions. Evening events are casual as well. Chicago weather in August averages around 80°F (27°C), with an historical range of 69°F (21°C) to 91° F (33°C). You might want to consider dressing in layers as Chicago’s weather can be unpredictable. Don’t forget to bring a jacket and umbrella, just in case — especially if you plan to participate in the river cruise.

Special Dietary Needs and Other Accommodations

Most meals during the conference will be served buffet style. There will be a variety of food choices to meet a wide variety of needs. Please note any special dietary requirements on the your registration form.
