Principal Real Estate Analyst

Posting Salary: $53,136 - $95,556
Position Summary: Reporting to the Real Estate Coordinator, the
Principal Real Estate Analyst is responsible for supporting the
oversight and coordination of the University's program for space
leasing, easements, rights-of-way and licenses for the University
campuses, laboratories, natural reserves and research and extension
centers. The Principal Analyst also supports legislative analysis
for RESG.
The position supports all ten UC campuses, five academic medical
centers and a national laboratory in the areas of leasing, licensing,
easements and rights-of-way.
The Principal Analyst identifies and resolves critical business
points and deviations from standard UC positions and practices.
Requirements (not complete list):
Graduation from college with a major in business administration,
economics, operations research, statistics, or an allied field and
five years experience in real estate management including or lease
analysis, leasing real estate, and developing lease policy functions;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Detailed experience in the development of lease programs including
lease negotiation, leasehold asset evaluation, and transaction analysis.
Demonstrated understanding of basic real estate law and contract
interpretation. Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and apply
management principles, practices, and techniques. Specific knowledge
of University policies and procedures pertaining to business and
financial management strongly preferred.
The position reports to the University's Leasing Coordinator and
interfaces with University Counsel, Risk Management and other OP
departments to assure compliance with regulations, policies and
good commercial business practice.
