The Property Manager is responsible for the operation of Indiana University’s residential rental property in Bloomington. Currently, this portfolio includes approximately 200 properties. The Property Manager supervises support staff and the Supervisor of Maintenance Operations. Keeps properties leased at all times, interacting professionally with clients, analyzing rents and preparing budgets, establishing work priorities, scheduling and monitoring work progress, showing properties to prospective tenants and regularly monitoring the condition of all rental units. The Property Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Real Estate.
Qualifications: Requires temperament and skills to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals. The successful candidate must be energetic, highly skilled, and thrive under time pressure.
Bachelor’s degree required and extensive experience as a Property Manager preferred. Experience in customer service, financial recordkeeping and analysis, and Microsoft Excel and Word required. Requires the physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, maneuver in areas with minimum clearance such as crawl spaces and attics and visual acuity to inspect and evaluate property condition.
The salary range for this position is $40-45K per year.
